Is Luke really saying Mom? I think so!!!
Luke has started to say mom. That is like music to my ears. It is so sweet when he says it because he looks right at me and says mom mom mom. I just know that is what he is saying even if everyone else that hears it is not so sure. I love this little boy with all my heart. I had hoped for a little girl since before I was even pregnant. I read all the books on how to conceive a girl, looked at the Chinese birth chart, and gave it my best shot. When the doctor told me it was a boy I had such mixed emotions. I was so glad that everything was okay, but what happened to that dream of mine of ONLY having two children one boy and one girl? I am so grateful to God that things have worked out the way they did. That I gave birth to a little boy on March 1st. That I have another little boy to call me mom. That Cole has a brother to share his toys with. That daddy has yet another boy to take fishing, hunting and adore him. I love being a mom to him and am so grateful that I get that chance.

Where have I been?
Where have I been lately? The truth is I have been so busy with two little boys who so need their momma. Brad is STILL working nights seven days a week and that leaves me. Cole spent the night with his memaw and pepaw last week and he loves visiting them and honestly that gives momma a break so it is nice. I love my boys, but am ready for daddy to be home so that momma can have a little free time. My legs are so white that I'm afraid to even put on shorts. I might scare the neighbors. I like them and don't want them to run from me. When he gets off work I am going to go to the tanning bed, shop for the house, hit some garage sales, get my nails done, do some more adoption paperwork, take some of my kids at school out to eat and just enjoy my family. Of coarse I will probably have one of the kids, but it is so much easier to go with one than two.
The adoption paperwork is going fine, but Brad did have something on his record that we had to explain that had happened over 10 years ago. He had a gun during bow season. I am sure all you ladies who have husbands that hunt know what I am talking about. He said that he had the gun for protection, but the game warden didn't take that...he fined him and now it is on his record. He didn't shoot an animal, but was still charged. GEEZ!! That's okay, they seem to think a simple explanation will be fine. I think I live with a man who is a little on the redneck side, but that is okay I love him because of it. I also have to call the boys doctor back to have them to rewrite their statement. They left the boys names out. Other than that my homestudy is finished.
Here are a few pictures that I have taken over the weekend. I hope that soon I will be able to get it together!!

Birthday Party with Good Friends!
It is hard to believe, but everyone has grown up and we now have kids of our own. Most of the adults at the birthday party have been friends since middle school. We have a lot of stories on each other and could talk about them forever, but we choose not to in front of the kids.......LOL. Anyway, it sure is fun to see everyone again. We have a connection and can just pick up and talk like time had never passed. These friends are so dear to my heart and I am thankful for them!

Snapshot Sunday and Spring Break is Over :(
This is how I feel going back to school tomorrow!!
Spring Break is officially over and I am ready for summer. I cannot believe how much the boys and myself enjoyed these warm days. We enjoyed being outside today. Thank God for these two boys that I get the privilege of watching grow each day. There is nothing in the world I would rather do!! I have been thinking a lot about a daughter/sister that will join our family in the future. I can't wait for that day when she too can join in on this fun and I get the privilege to watch them all grow together as a family.

Oh How We Love Spring Break!
Spring break this year was great. The only problem is tomorrow is our last day off and I am in tears. I love love love my job, but hate getting back into the routine. I love being home with the boys. I got to spend a day in Nashville with the boys and Brad which was fun. We went to the Opry Mills mall and had a blast. I also spent a day at the park with my cousins who I enjoy being around so much and the kids love being together. We played outside until the boys could no longer hold their eyes open. All of the girls went on a shopping trip which is always fun. We got to eat supper at mom's!! You know their is nothing like Mom's cooking. Right? I also spent a day doing what I wanted to do.....that's right! Me and only me. I really like days like this too. I got my nails done, had a pedicure and got may hair highlighted. I love being with my boys, but I do enjoy days when it is just me doing only things I want to do. I really don't get very many of those. Here are some pictures taken of my spring break.....a break full of the most favorite people in my life. FAMILY!!

One Week Ago Today
One week ago today we all sat nervously waiting at Kosair childrens hospital as the doctors gave us updates on my nephew. He and my sister had been out riding on the ranger when she turned, he hit the gas and the rest is history. I was at a birthday party when I got the message and by the sound of her voice I knew it was serious. He had sustained a head injury and had to be flown from our small hometown to Kosair. He was in ICU for a full night until he was able to get his own room. He is home now and doing fine, but I'm not so sure us grown-ups will be over this any time soon. It is unbelievable how one minute you are thinking about Kentucky basketball and the next minute you forgot they ever existed. My whole family all sit on the floor of the ICU room as we waited to hear that little voice of his. Finally he woke up and asked where his shirt was. Maybe, he remembered them cutting it off of him? We really don't know, but oh my was it nice to hear him finally speak. I had never seen my family all come together the way we did when this happened. It was like the world had stopped and we only had each other. I am so grateful to God that he is okay. That my sister is okay. That I have a family that is there no matter what. God opened my eyes that day to the importance of family. To the importance of living each day to the fullest. To never take for granted the ones I love so dear. Thank you God! Please help us to see this even without tragedy! Dad and I did listen to the Kentucky game on the way to Kosair so to say that we forgot about them entirely would be a lie, but it wasn't the end of the world when they lost.....we had more important things to worry about at that moment on that day.
