Birthdays full of sickness!!
Here is what my boys got me for my birthday. I love candles and this happens to be my favorite brand. Cole made me this card. How sweet!!

This is the bracelet that Brad got me for my birthday. I love, love, love this bracelet. Notice how it says Caroline. Yes this will be our China dolls name when we do get her. It was so nice of him to put her name on it. Caroline is after my mom. Now we just need to meet her!!

Luke got sick on my birthday which was on a Sunday and went into the hospital on Tuesday. He was so sick and I felt so sorry for him. It was his birthday and he sure didn't want to be there, but we didn't have a choice. He had a nasty virus.

These are some of the gifts given to Luke and they really did cheer him up!! He loved them.

Another gift from a cousin. What would we do without our cousins?

After all of this is over I sit and think about how quickly life can change again. I often take day after day for granted until something like this happens. One minute I'm at work thinking about what lesson I want to teach tomorrow and the next minute I'm in the hospital with my sick baby on his birthday and yet somehow I look around and feel lucky. Lucky that I don't spend day after day in the hospital with a sick child like some do. Lucky that I have this precious baby boy who has returned to himself the last couple of days. Lucky that I have family who supports me. Lucky that my mom helps me so much. Lucky that my dad took care of my older son while I took care of Luke. Lucky that I have a husband who loves his kids and myself more than anything. Lucky that we are all here tonight together and healthy again. We will never forgot my little man turning two!! May next years be spent doing what little boys do instead of inside hospital walls and may we all find the postive when negative things happen to us!!
