One year ago this month the ice storm hit us here in Kentucky. I will never forget that night hearing the sounds of trees snapping off at the ground and seeing bright lights in the sky as transformers were blowing up. At first it seemed fun until we were going on day 3 with no power and everyone was crammed into my mom and dad's house. Actually it was quite frightening! I was pregnant with Luke and due in March, so I was already on the miserable side. We went without electricity for 3 weeks until we finally borrowed a generator from my cousin. I love my mom and dad, but being with them for 3 weeks meant that Cole didn't have his own bed and was way off of his routine. Looking back now it was a time to remember, but not necessarily one that I want to live again.
